I Love Good Customer Service!
About two years ago, give or take, I signed up for a 1and1.com website. After using them for about six months, I moved all my websites there. I love the software they give away, I love their stats, the support for scripts the list is long. I also love the free software they give away with each account.
But what really sets them apart in my mind is their customer service. They have an 800 number and as near as I can tell, they always answer within a minute or two, and usually sooner, no matter what time of day I call. But thats not all their CS people know what theyre doing and how to tell me what I need to do in a way I understand. For example, yesterday I realized I was having trouble with PhotoImpact one of the free programs they include. After poking around I decided I needed to reload it. I couldnt find the download link so I called. The reason there wasnt a download link is because Id ordered the CD with the software Id forgotten, but they knew I had it. The guy was even able to tell me what color it is so Id know how to find it in my collection of software, and he told me how to reorder if I couldnt find it.
What does this have to do with writing? Well, among others, I have a website that promotes me www.annewayman.com and Ive also written about why every writer should have their own website. But mostly I simply want to tell the world how much I love 1and1s customer service.
