The Golden Pencil: The Freelance Writer’s Resource

Email and Good Intentions

by Anne Wayman on January 8th, 2006

Like so many, I subscribe to a variety of email lists. Some are about writing, others refelct my politics. There’s one about yoga, another about journalism… the list goes on.

So often I never get to these and after a week or a month, my email box is stuffed with stuff I intend to read but never do. So I go through and delete like mad. Once and awhile I’ll unsubscribe, but most of these newsletters have information I’d really like to have… if only I had the time.

My intentions are great; it’s the follow-through that’s a problem. The information age can indeed be overwhelming at times. Thank the goddess for a delete key.

Write well and often,

Anne Wayman, Freelance Writer
