After Rejection
I’ve long felt that getting the first rejection slip is the first step in a successful freelance writing career, or it least it can be. The real key is what you do after you get that first rejection.
Sure, you need a moment or two to lick your wounds, but there’s nothing to be gained wallowing in depression. Instead, take a close look at what you submitted and try and figure out why it was rejected. What can you learn? What can you do better? Don’t spend too much time on this effort either.
Get back to writing just as soon as you can. Don’t cut yourself any slack – write, and submit, write and submit. It’s hard to get worse at something we practice! Writing and submitting is the secret of all successful writers.

I believe you are exactly right when it comes to rrejection.Everyone gets rejected and it’s nice to hear encouragment.Well as a young writer i’m not exactly sure how i’m going to take rejection yet because I havn’t sent in anything yet.
But i don’t exactly know what this site is all about yet because my friend told me about it but i was wondering if theres anything out there were people can help me about writing…kinda like a writing coach.But i’m 16 and cant afford it and i know my parents wouldnt pay for help because they have other things to deal with.So if you could help me out by telling me if there was or not.That would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.
