Freelance Writers Appreciation Week
Someone in our forum told us that the second week of February is Freelance Writers Appreciation Week. That was news to me, but I often learn new things there.
A google search on Freelance Writers Appreciation Week doesn’t reveal much. Maybe we need to convince Hallmark to sell cards for this week or something.
Actually, rather than cards, I’d like more clients that pay well and on time (I have several and I’m grateful for them), fewer magazines that think “exposure” is a great substitute for pay, and publishers who are willing to take more risks and back the risk up with some marketing money.
Spend a few moments appreciating yourself – maybe next year we’ll organize something.
