Screen Writing Scam Warning

by Anne Wayman on February 18th, 2006

Forums can be useful as well as fun. On ours, Spellingbee posted a link that leads to a saga about a screenwriter going undercover to determine if an agency offering to represent screenwriters is legit or not.

The link is: http://www.screenwritinglife.com/i-spy-for-the-scribosphere-part-1-of-3-danny-broderick-strikes. The saga is a bit long, but it’s well worth reading.

Now I’m not a screenwriter but I do know the same sorts of schemes exist for non-screenwriters. The bottom line? If they want to charge you for anything, run.

Write well and often,
