Don’t You Just Hate It When You’re Stuck?
I have two major projects going on at the moment. One is a writing project, the other is not. In order to move on with the non-writing project I need approval from a board of directors. Deadlines have passed and there’s no approval forthcoming. I simply don’t know what to do except call my liaison again, which I’ve done. At some point, before very long, I may have to pull the plug on the non-writing project because I and my committee simply won’t be able to get it all done. I feel stuck and helpless. A friend and fellow committee member keeps reminding me victim-hood is largely a choice.
I’ve made progress on the writing project, but it needs to be reorganized… the outline is wrong and I’m not sure how to fix it… fortunately on this one I’ve got some real help and backup, but I’m feeling stuck on this one at the moment.
My hunch is that although these projects feel different, my stuckness is linked. Here’s my current plan: I’ll work on the outline, while waiting for a return call from the liaison. Maybe progress on one front will help create progress on the other.
Write well and often,

I was just lamenting to a friend that I have 4-5 projects on hold because my clients are so sloooow in getting back to me. It’s frustrating, but I figure if they can put me on hold, I have every right to put them on hold when they all finally come around at the time!
