The Golden Pencil: The Freelance Writer’s Resource

I’m Glad I’m Not A Road Warrior

by Anne Wayman on May 9th, 2006

Sunday afternoon I flew to Denver for meetings with a major client of mine most of the day Monday. I’d been writing for these guys for several months and we’d never met face-to-face.

The meetings went well; we solved some problems and I’m now in a much better position to complete the next phase of the writing work.

But geeze, I feel like my soul is stuck somewhere over Arizona trying to catch up with me. I’m old enough to remember when flying was fun… back when I was in college, coach even had a lounge… seems like pure fantasy these days.

Of course, it is amazing we can move about the planet the way we do… I’m just glad I don’t have to do quick flying trips very often.

Write well and often,
