The Golden Pencil: The Freelance Writer’s Resource

Good Web Writing - 31 Days to Better Freelance Writing - Day 11

by Anne Wayman on July 12th, 2006

“Creative Content Maven for Hire” Meryl K. Evans graces us with an outstanding series of tips in her Rules for Writing for the Web Still Steadfast. It’s a great overview of what makes web, and blog, writing effective.

In fact, her rules for web writing are worth a gander even if you never write on the internet.

She’s also got some links worth chasing.

Thanks so much, Meryl!

Write well and often,

Meryl’s tips are great, and they totally apply to newsletter and magazine writing as well. Your writing for any market should be concise and easy to follow. Subheadings are a great way to keep the reader focused and guide him or her through the article. Great resource!
