Once again, Lori Widmer hits the proverbial nail on the head with this we-all-should-do-this-but-a-reminder-helps tip:
- Your next client is as close as your last client. Always ask for referrals.
Those of us who’ve been around the freelance writing game awhile are often startled at how much of our business comes from previous clients. Easily a third, and maybe more. The thing is, you never know when a referral will drop in your lap.
Ask for referrals, always, but don’t let up on your other marketing efforts.
