Greeting Cards – A Freelance Writing Market
I don’t know why the greeting card market interests me. I don’t send many and I don’t get many (think those two statements might be linked?). But every now and again I wonder if I too couldn’t earn some dollars writing greeting cards.
This is one of those fantasies I probably will never act on. But if I do, I know where I’ll start. At a blog called Greeting Card Writing. Put together by Sherry L. Stol, there is all sorts of information here, including tips for writing cards, markets and the occasional job posting.
If you’ve got any interest in greeting cards, explore and book mark this blog.

To be honest the greeting card market has fascinated me too. Perhaps you are a frusterated poet like I am. While writing $5 or $10 card sentiments will not be much more financially rewarding than a poem published in a magazine that pays in money (instead of free copies) at least you’ll have the joy of knowing that your work is actually being read. And who knows? Some greeting card writers actually earn enough to list their earnings as a source of supplementary income.

I agree Rachel although I’ve never written for this market…
