Book Proposal - Draft of 1st Query
I’ve chosen three publishers to start. And I’ve drafted the first query or cover letter to go with the book proposal.
The first publisher is Barricade Books. If you check out their submission guidelines it says:
We do look for non-fiction, mostly of the controversial type. We look for books that we can promote with authors who can talk about their topics on radio and television, and to the press.
This book fits and they’ve published one other in the general field of 12 step recovery. The cover letter both follows their instructions and quotes from their website.
It’s a draft for several reasons:
- I’m feeling pooky today… allergies or something
- telling folks how good I am, or how good my writing is always take some effort
- I don’t want to go to the post office today.
