Goat Dancing

goat danceNow that I’ve added a category called Goat Dancing, and found a pix of a goat I like, maybe I ought to tell you how I got the term.

Years ago I lived in a low income housing coop on boats in Sausalito, CA called Galilee Harbor. Our Harbor Master, Joe Tate, used the term goat dancing to describe any sort of a snarl you can get into about anything. Often he used the term to gripe about bureaucracy, but he, and we, also used it when we had to go to the store to buy the right size screw or another paint brush, or when, as a community we set up a procedure that was anything but straight forward.

Now, I’ve never seen a goat dance, but I imagine that if they did…
