Freelance Writing Jobs - 42 New Writing and Editing Jobs
42 New Writing and Editing Jobs today.
You never know what will happen when you apply for a gig. Apparently I submitted a bid on a project back in late August or early September. I say apparently, because I got an email from the potential client today saying they were ready to discuss the project. Wonderful… except…
I have no memory of this. Fortunately, the site does let me review the client’s description and my bid… but damn, both the client’s description and my bid are really vague. I’m surprised I even put in a bid based on what I’m reading. So I’ll call and we’ll start almost from scratch, then we will see.
I’ll let you know what, if anything happens.
Write well and often,

Oh Anne, have I ever had moments like that! I think it’s okay to say “Could you refresh my memory on exactly what you’re looking for, just so I’m clear?”
Good luck with it!

Anne,
In this group of links, there’s a “job” at http://www.blogsvertise.com/.
I am not quite sure what to make of this. What do you think?

Actually, Lori, I’ll probably be more blunt than that… “Hi, thanks for your email… I hardly remember what I promised and what you need…” then I’ll shut up and listen.
Tammy, this is one of those things I don’t particularly like personally… they are paying to try to create buzz… I’m not sure it even works, but… what do you think? I think problogger has had something to say about this.

Anne, the feeling I get is that this job would be to get paid to spam. But, on the other hand, it’s spamming on one’s own blog. Which is weird. Unless one has a very popular blog, why would anyone pay a person to do this? Then, does that person’s blog become one big advertisement?
I suppose, some blogs out there have already been created specifically in order to earn money. With keyword content that’s unreadable, ads all over the place and entries that are only trackbacks from other blogs which are far more popular, I suppose adding this kind of thing would just be another trick.
For the regular blogger, like you and me, who has something to say, I think this kind of thing would not be an item to proudly display on a resume. Nor would it be something that I’d want a potential client to see when they click over to my blog to get a feel for my writing skills and experience.
I would be curious to see who works for them, and what their blogs look like.

I actually replied to an ad like this when they first showed up… months ago… they liked my blog and said I could earn $x, I don’t remember how much, but it wasn’t a ton, if I could work a product into a blog post… can’t remember what it was, but it certainly didn’t fit anything I was doing.
It’s not something I want to do, but it may fit others.
