Writing About Gratitude
I’m almost a gratitude junkie. That wasn’t always the case. For a long time the idea of a gratitude list made me, well, squeamish. That’s changed. I know that if I want a quick mental, spiritual, or psychological lift all I need to do is write a gratitude list. Here’s mine for Thanksgiving:
- Visiting my daughter
- Flying instead of driving
- My kitty, MzTiz
- The neighbors who feed her while I’m gone.
- Emily - grandkid
- Ben - grandkid
- Valerie - grandkid
- Gloria – a daughter in law.
- Stacy – a daughter in law.
- Mike – a son
- Steve – a son
- the supportive writers on my forum
- the supportive readers here
- my clients
- working in clay
- my garden
- good coffee
- good water
- hot water for baths and showers
- my living Rosemary Christmas tree
- the ‘net
- my computer
Whew, I feel better now… and I could go on… how about you?
Write well and often,

1. God.
2. All of my family.
3. All of my friends.
4. My Granny getting to come home from the nursing home for Thanksgiving.
5. My ability to seek, find, and understand a higher truth (or so last week’s fortune cookie said).
6. My sense of humor.
7. Coffee.
8. My job, and the fact that I had the drive to create it for myself.
