Writing About Gratitude

by Anne Wayman on November 23rd, 2006

Market GateI’m almost a gratitude junkie. That wasn’t always the case. For a long time the idea of a gratitude list made me, well, squeamish. That’s changed. I know that if I want a quick mental, spiritual, or psychological lift all I need to do is write a gratitude list. Here’s mine for Thanksgiving:

  1. Visiting my daughter
  2. Flying instead of driving
  3. My kitty, MzTiz
  4. The neighbors who feed her while I’m gone.
  5. Emily - grandkid
  6. Ben - grandkid
  7. Valerie - grandkid
  8. Gloria – a daughter in law.
  9. Stacy – a daughter in law.
  10. Mike – a son
  11. Steve – a son
  12. the supportive writers on my forum
  13. the supportive readers here
  14. my clients
  15. working in clay
  16. my garden
  17. good coffee
  18. good water
  19. hot water for baths and showers
  20. my living Rosemary Christmas tree
  21. the ‘net
  22. my computer

Whew, I feel better now… and I could go on… how about you?

Write well and often,

Anne

    1. God.
    2. All of my family.
    3. All of my friends.
    4. My Granny getting to come home from the nursing home for Thanksgiving.
    5. My ability to seek, find, and understand a higher truth (or so last week’s fortune cookie said).
    6. My sense of humor.
    7. Coffee.
    8. My job, and the fact that I had the drive to create it for myself.
