Goal Setting For Writers - 3
It’s time I finished up this goal setting exercise:
- 7. How does the rest of your life support your writing?
It seems everything in my life supports my writing. - 8. How can you change/compromise on the non-supportive elements?
I need to expand my time-off/play and maybe even travel, which will support me and therefore support my writing. - 9. What new aspect of the writing life do you want to try next year?
I’m not yet sure how to answer this one. - 10. Where do you need to be more disciplined?
Exercise! - 11. Where do you need to ease up on yourself?
Self-doubts, when the surface. - 12. List your goals for the coming year.
I’m holding on this one too because I’m enrolled in another Heart of Business class and the first 5 weeks are devoted to defining our business… another way to say this is my first goal is to define my business. - 13. List three positive, active steps to take on each goal to get it going.
The Heart of Business class will reveal this one. - 14. List your dreams for the coming year.
Go to Ireland with Kathy Hern and Guy Williams, buy my own home. - 15. List three positive, active steps to transform each dream into a goal.
Find out exact costs of trip, make reservations and get my passport updated. Continue saving, working on my credit score and working with my realtor. - 16. List your resolutions for the coming year.
I’m not yet ready to do this. - 17. List three positive, active steps to help you stick to them.
And this is on hold too, subject to what I discover in the Heart of Business class.
If you want the complete list of questions you’ll find them here.
Write well and often,
