Maybe I Should Become A Gardening Writer
I woke up this morning with a real yen to work in my garden… I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, just something. I settled on getting some organic fertilizer that will work on my postage stamp lawn and flower garden plus containers. And that meant a trip to my favorite nursery.
They suggested Gro-Power. Before I got someone to load it into my car, I spent a delightful 30 minutes or so wandering, looking at camellias, and bare-root roses, and fountains and wonderful things just starting into bloom.
And for the last couple of hours I’ve been adding a bit of fertilizer to containers and watering them, then broadcasting more fertilizer on my lawn and watering it. The breeze is coming up, so it’s time to stop, which is just the right amount of fiddling in the garden for me.
There’s something about gardening that grounds me, pleases me and makes me happy. That’s why I’m tempted to start writing about it. On the other hand, it’s also a sacred activity for me, slightly hidden, one of the special activities that although I want to share, I don’t want to commercialize. So for now, I’ll settle for the occasional blog post.
Write well and often,

These are great thoughts:
‘I love this so much…so should I keep it sacred?’
I’m sure time will tell if you should hoard your gardening pleasure, or share it with the world!
Have a Great Day!

It can be difficult to let go of some thought or treasure that you consider “special” and if you share it, it would no longer be “special”. When the time is right you will know.
On the other hand for beginning gardeners there is a website developed by a beginning gardnener. She uses her beginning status to help others learn as well as pass on what she has learned. It is very informative and entertaining.

Maybe, it’s just in the blood, wanting to have enough vegetables for the family and wanting to make sure it’s just right! I’m very busy in the gardening mode, right now, just getting things ready! Go to it!

I’m probably leaving this garden in the next 6 months or so… maybe I’ll do a garden blog from the next place.
