Get Paid to Write posted a list of articles they felt were worth reading… I agree. Of course, my own post is there, but the one I liked best is Can an E-mail Agreement be a Binding Contract? from AllBusiness.com.
The bottom line? With the exception of certain documents, like wills and other family matters, court documents and some other exceptions, an email can be a binding contract. Electronic signatures were actually signed into law in June of 2000.
When I want to create a digital signature, I do it like this:
(signed electronically [date]) Anne Wayman. Of course, I’m not an attorney, but so far it seems to be working.

Great info for people to know about electronic signatures. They are indeed binding. Thanks for posting this information.
