Writing For The Holidays
Here we are on the 12th of October. Hints of America’s largest holiday and buying season are already to be found if you look. Which often means holiday writing ideas pop up.
It’s almost too late!
In fact, the December issues of all the big magazines are almost complete by now. Your chance of getting a holiday article published this year are limited to smaller publications and local newsletters.
Don’t despair. Right now, schedule those holiday writing queries for June of 2008. Yes, a full six months in advance. That’s the sort of lead time most big magazines need.
