Should You Write for Term Paper Mills?

by Anne Wayman on November 26th, 2007

question_mark.jpgAlthough I don’t post jobs if I know they are for term paper mills or from a student looking for a writer to do their work, there are enough of these writing jobs floating around it’s almost impossible not to be tempted.

Guest writer Sharlene Thomas explains why she won’t in an article called: Should Freelance Writers Accept Jobs Writing Term Papers?

Do you write academic articles for others? Why or why not?

I am opposed to the concept of writing a term paper for anyone else, because I have worked with professionals who cannot construct a sentence. I produced some great papers in my undergraduate and graduate studies, but I also worked hard.

Of course, I paid for my own education (and will be doing so for a long time) so I needed to learn how to produce quality work.

It’s cheating yourself to have someone else do your work.

That’s sort of how I feel. I have, however, helped one student, German speaking writing in English, edit his paper… editing falls in a different category I think.
