Watching Self-Publishing
Back when I first self-published (Powerfully Recovered if you’re curious) there were just a short handful of companies that offered the service. Now it’s a whole industry!
So far, the best source I’ve found for keeping track of what’s happening in print on demand is PODdy Mouth - Daily Dirt on POD and Self-Publishing. She - at least I think it’s a she - knows her stuff and doesn’t hesitate to tell all.
The five part break-even analysis gives you a way to begin to compare what various POD outfits have to offer. It’s something I hope becomes an annual feature, although it looks like a lot of hard work.
I get a feed on her headlines, which helps me keep track. If you’re interested in self-publishing I suggest you do the same.
