Good News Source for Writers and Others
I was exploring the stats for this blog and confirming that the post I did months ago called Want Some Good News To Write About? is still one of the most popular here. It points to http://www.gimundo.com/, a site dedicated to good news.
While thinking about all this news came that Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was assassinated Thursday in a suicide bombing also killed many others. I don’t pretend to understand Pakistani politics, but my sense is she was a voice for peace, tolerance and sanity in a country that is, at best, on the edge of chaos.
As I went from good news to bad news I was aware of the contrast and how it makes me feel. My heart goes out to the world.

I agree, Anne. I know next to nothing about Pakistani politics, but she projected a ray of hope and positive potential for that country. It also appears that the life expectancy for a politician in that region is extremely limited.
It’s sad and disheartening that factions in this world choose to sow violence and hatred over diplomacy, compassion, and peaceful resolution to philosophical and theological differences.

I’m actively looking for a peace mediation site or organization or something… I’ll keep you posted.
