There have been a rash of jobs, well maybe a dozen over several months, that ask for women writers only, or female writers only. I always look at these ads with suspicion. A few seem to have what in my opinion is a legitimate to hire one sex or the other exclusively; some seem like scams, or even possible set-ups for stalking. Those I don’t publish. But you can’t count on me to keep you safe or to determine for you if a job posting is authentic or not. Most are, but there are enough creeps and scam artists out there to go carefully.
