Freelance Writing Jobs - 70 Writing, Blogging, Editing and Translation Jobs

by Anne Wayman on February 13th, 2008

jobpencilsthumbnail.jpgI just posted 70 Writing, Blogging, Editing and Translation Jobs.

Seems like there were lots of “no pay but wonderful opportunity” pitches today. One even seemed to ask for a “starving” writer to work for free. I know many, even most of these folks starting various ventures are excited and sure their new magazine, website, venue, what-ever, is going to be at least as good as sliced bread, but experienced writers recognize that if there is no pay in the beginning, it’s highly unlikely there will be pay in the future.

Thanks for posting these opportunities. I don’t think working for free is always bad, as long as you are learning something. James Brausch has an unpaid intern program, and I have noticed a lot of the people from that program are now in business for themselves. Not that I wouldn’t rather be paid too :)

Hi Janet, we’ve probably all done some work for free… I still do occasionally for non-profits I work with etc… tell us more about the intern program… how does it help build a career as a freelancer
