The Golden Pencil: The Freelance Writer’s Resource

Following Up With Potential Writing Clients

by Anne Wayman on February 17th, 2008

owleyes.jpgI was poking around some blogs this morning and came upon FreelanceSwitch’s post called: A Simple Follow Up Formula

There author Ilise Benun makes the point that a generic follow up can be worse than none at all. She then goes on to provide a three-step formula that pretty much guarantees your follow up will be heard. Take a look. Think about what you’re offering and what you need to say to a potential client to sell your services. Following up with a potential client is an art form well worth learning.

Tell us how you follow up with potential clients.
