Starting the New Project
Wow! A brand new ghostwriting project to begin today. Actually, we’ve already got a working table of contents; we’ve met for a number of hours to give me a sense of the author; I have a ton of notes, but I’m still, well, nervous.
Oh, I don’t feel as lost and confused as I did with my very first ghostwriting project, but it’s nice to remember that in spite of my lack of experience, that one came out quite well. But there is the old “how do I start?” voice going on in my head, which sometimes wants to switch to “I have no idea how to start!”
I do, of course, know the secret of starting… you simply start, and if it’s wrong, later you change it… (time passes)
I’ve started. I love how this works. Right in the middle of the blog post I went to the working table of contents, copied it, opened a new file, put the title of the book, the author’s name, pasted the toc on the next page and started on Chapter 1. Then I remembered I was in the middle of a blog post.
Whew! How do you get started on a new writing project?
Write well and often,
