140 Characters - Think of What You Can Say (Write)!
Over at Successful Blog, Liz makes this statement in a post about twitter: Few messages of importance can’t be delivered in 140 characters.
My hunch is she’s right, and that sometimes it would take a talented freelance writer and editor to whittle an important message down to 140 characters.
What do you think? Could you do it? Should you? Would you?

I think important messages can be even shorter. I mean, some of the most famous and inspiring quotes are all really short.

I’m sorry.
I’m dying.
I’m pregnant.
I’m leaving.
I love you.
No!
The longest one of those is 13 characters long. Life changing messages can be shared in far less than 140 characters. Albeit the above messages are not Twitter material.
But Twitter does allow for camaraderie with the briefest character strokes. A quick “Great post” or “I was thinking of you” or “Can you help with…” allow us to connect, even if for a limited timeframe.
